I’d like to continue services, how do I proceed?

Under Employer.com’s ownership, before you can continue services, we require you to consent to the transfer of services and data. Once you consent, you will be able to access your services.  When you log into the Bench application you will be presented with the below consent form. You must be the primary account owner to provide consent.

I’d like to cancel my services and access my data, how do I proceed?

Under Employer.com’s ownership, before you can continue or change any services, we require you to consent to the transfer of services and data. 

‍Once you consent, you will be able to access your data and request to discontinue services. You can quest to cancel by selecting “Book a Call” under “Request to not renew subscription”. One of our customer service representatives will then get in contact with you shortly.

Note:
If you choose to discontinue services, we will be unable to complete any outstanding bookkeeping services for 2024. Services paid for prior to December 30th, 2024 are not eligible for refunds. We hope that you choose to continue your services. 

Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, as of Dec 27th, 2024, Bench Accounting, Inc. became insolvent and no longer exists as a separate entity.
While Employer.com has since been in the process of acquiring certain assets from Bench Accounting, Inc., Employer.com is a completely separate entity and is not liable for any previous obligations, which includes refunds and completion of any past services.

However, under Employer.com's ownership, the Bench team is willing and dedicated to honor completing work that was paid by past subscription payments for active customers at no additional charge.

To obtain any further information about your services with Bench, you must provide acknowledgement to transfer your data/services in the login portal, and have an active subscription with Bench.co by Employer.com

Will my services be changing? 

No, you will continue to work with the same great team, platform, and service. We’re preparing to wrap up your year-end financials and get you set for a smooth tax season in Q1 2025.

If you are set to be onboarded to Bench, we’ll be reaching out shortly to reschedule your appointment with an onboarding specialist.

If you’ve been receiving Bench bookkeeping services, we’re working hard to make sure your services are minimally disrupted and your Bookkeeping Portfolio Associate will be reaching out in app to say hello to you as soon as possible.

  • Who will be doing my books?
    The same great Bench team will continue to be supporting you with your books using the Bench.co platform, ensuring that you have a seamless experience moving forward.
  • Do I still need to file an extension for my taxes?
    Our dedicated tax team is ready to help you prepare your 2024 year-end financials for tax filing. If, for any reason, you need an extension beyond the tax filing deadlines, your bookkeeping team will keep you informed ahead of time and support you on filing an extension.
  • Who is employer.com?
    Employer.com, is a California based HR technology company that owns companies including Recruiter.com, and Bountyjobs.com. Through the Employer.com ecosystem, customers can benefit from workforce management software for hiring, payroll, compliance, and more.
  • If I consent to receive your services under Employer.com, do Bench's auto-renewal membership terms from your terms of service still apply?
    Yes, if you’re on a subscription service, we will continue to renew your services per your preference, whether that’s monthly or annually. Just a heads up, renewals during the holiday period may be delayed so you may see the charge come through a little later than usual.
  • What happens if I signed up with Kick?
    If you would like to continue with Bench, we require you to consent to the transfer of services and data. Log in to the Bench Account to provide your consent. Once you consent, you will be able to access your services.
